Strategic Advisor | NZ Decade of Healthy Ageing

Carole is a Social Scientist with a passion for ageing well. She’s honoured and delighted to serve as Strategic Advisor for the NZ Decade of Healthy Ageing – a role that allows her to share lived experience, to share vital global advances in international responses to the challenges of population-ageing, gerontology perspectives and the urgency for policy transformation. Carole advocates for a society where Elders are loved, have mana, valued, respected and engaged with a role to benefit future generations.

In 2020, Carole was awarded an MNZM for her outstanding contributions to ageing policy in Aotearoa New Zealand.
